When you sponsor a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, or dependent children to become permanent residents of Canada, you must promise to support them financially. Therefore, you have to meet certain income requirements. If you have previously sponsored relatives to come to Canada and they have later turned to the government for financial assistance, you may not be allowed to sponsor another person. Sponsorship is a big commitment, so you must take this obligation seriously. U4 t$ F' t. W$ J5 u! S% ~. O+ X/ {4 V+ u 4 s# L7 `/ A4 h2 `4 ?. @To be a sponsor:" [7 B% \2 V$ A9 L% A

You and the sponsored relative must sign a sponsorship agreement that commits you to provide financial support for your relative, if necessary. This agreement also says the person becoming a permanent resident will make every effort to support her or himself. _ J9 f! z& y& ]1 P# WYou must provide financial support for a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner for three years from the date they become a permanent resident. 0 G) B) @* l/ T7 [& fYou must provide financial support for a dependent child for 10 years, or until the child turns 25, whichever comes first. 3 i& B( Y! o5 E4 e7 W; ]& a& N 3 c' X/ U# U) T3 D T6 n$ H4 _4 Q8 E9 O[ 本帖最后由 jonesno1 于 2008-4-5 13:28 编辑 ]
