Job Description
Participates in the operation of a stores area of Materiel Management by receiving, unpacking, verifying, storing and issuing stores items. Assists in the maintenance of a Stock Control System. Maintains stock in Central Dispatch break down area. Assists in the operations of Custodial, Disposal, Pack Stores and Archives.
- Completion of Secondary School education according to provincial standards of equivalency.
- Minimum of one years' recent experience in a warehouse environment including internal/external shipping and receiving
function.
- Knowledge of the English language is essential both in verbal and written form.
- Knowledge of practices, procedures, systems, methods, equipment and materials required in a service-oriented institutional
stores setting utilizing a revolving inventory system.
- Ability to work within a computerized system; to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form; to function effectively
without direct supervision; to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations; mentally and physically capable of
performing all job funcitons; to maintain accurate records and complete reports.
- Reliability, alertness, cooperativeness, tact and adaptability.
- Well organized.
- Good effective interpersonal relationships.
- Physical stamina to endure long period of standing and the lifting and moving of heavy objects. |
